Modern duct tape is made with any one of a variety of loosely woven fabrics to provide strength. The threads or fill yarn of the fabric may be cotton, polyester, nylon, rayon or fiberglass. The fabric is a very thin gauze called "scrim" which is laminated to a backing of low density polyethylene (LDPE). The color of the LDPE is provided by various pigments; the usual gray color comes from powdered aluminum mixed into the LDPE. There are two commonly produced tape widths: 1.9 in (48 mm) and 2 in (51 mm). Other widths are also offered.[27] The largest rolls of duct tape were made in 2005 for Henkel, with 3.78 inches (9.6 cm) width, a roll diameter of 64 inches (160 cm) and weighing 650 pounds (290 kg).[28]

1. Remove a splinter Is a splinter to deep or tiny to remove with tweezers? Avoid the agony of digging it out. Instead cover the splinter with adhesive tape. after about three days, pull the tape off and the splinter should come out with it.

2.Hang glue and caulk tubes or, just about anything that needs to be hung amount of tape required varies.  Cut a strip of the tape several inches long and fold it over the bottom of the item needing to be hung leaving a flap. Then punch a hole in the flap of the tape

3. Quit wasting money on those lint rollers and wrap your hand in some tape (Sticky side out) and there you have a homemade lint roller and pet hair grabber.
